Nail Technology Classes

Elite Nail Institute is a privately owned manicure school, approved by the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers Examiners. Whether you’re considering a career change or simply looking to improve your skills, our Nail Technology Training offers everything necessary to achieve your career and life dreams. Elite is committed to empowering aspiring beauty professionals through education in the classroom and specialized training with hands-on experience in a student salon. Students will explore the field of manicuring through the study of nail and skin structure; nail and skin diseases; nail and skin disorders; aspects of the human anatomy; physiology; nail art, and designs. Students will also learn the basics of chemistry and electricity as it relates to manicuring. Additionally, students will explore laws & regulations, business practices, safety and infection control protocols for decontamination issues are emphasized. Elite also prepares students to successfully complete both Missouri state board examinations-theory & practical. 

Federal Title IV Funding is not yet available.

 

MAJOR COURSE COMPETENCIES

 

• Manicuring, hand and arm massage and treatment of nails-220 hours

• Salesmanship and shop management-20 hours

• Sanitation and sterilization- 20 hours

• Anatomy-10 hours

• State law-10 hours

• Study of the use and application of certain chemicals-40 hours

• Misc, lectures, tests, review, and State Board Preparation-80 hours

 

400 Hour Nail Technology Program Schedule

Full-Time Day Program- 13 weeks 

Monday-Friday

9am-3pm

Part-Time Evening Program-13 to 16 weeks

Monday-Thursday

3:00pm – 9:00pm

and

Saturday (every other week then every week the last month of the class)

9:00pm-3:00pm

Part-Time Evening Program-24 weeks

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

4:00pm – 9:00pm

and

Saturday (once a month)

9:00pm-3:00pm
